It appears that Acer has spared no time delivering the 1st Arc A7 desktop GPUs to the media. We’ve been told by Plonter.info, an Israeli technology site, that they actually have a full assessment on this card now.
Acer Predator A770 BiForst 16GB
If you wondered how well a customized Arc A7 GPU could perform, then here is some hard data! Plonter got an early copy of a custom Acer Predator BiForst GPU, literally becoming the first group internationally to test out not only this board, but also any custom Arc GPU.
Acer Predator A770 is entirely a customized bit of engineering with double fans and two 8-pin power connectors. Intriguingly, this is a 16-gigabyte version, not an 8-gigabyte model which is planned to be the first option for A770 custom designs.
According to the experimental run, this GPU has a super-fast game-level clock of 2100 MHz and TBP of 225W. So, we do not know what the ‘OC’ represents for this card. There are no changes to the display output config, either. The site is not yet indicating if the HDMI ports will be 2.1 or 2.0.
The official website has all performance metrics for this card, but disappointingly there is no information presented yet on when it will b available or what the price will be.
Considering that the demo model has now made its way to reviewers, there is a chance it could launch along with Intel’s Limited Edition GPUs next week.
